Are classes suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! I can give options for people totally new to exercise as well as those who are looking to advance. You can also take as many breaks as you need.
Can I start training at any point?
Yes! This isn't a course of classes so start whenever you like. 4 week packages do not need to start at the beginning of the month. Keep your eyes peeled for various promotions that may have a start and end date.
When do packages expire?
Where do we meet for classes?
We meet at Tooting Common by Dr Johnson Avenue Carpark (parking is free)
Expiry dates depend on packages purchased. See Book Classes page for all expiry dates.
Can I bring a friend?
The more the merrier! The 2, 5 and 10 packs can be shared with friends.
What if it's raining?
Then we get wet! Classes will still be on so it's up to you if you'd like to come to class.
What do we do with our bags?
How do I book onto classes?
Go to the Book Classes tab and click on the links. This will take you to the Gym Catch website. You will need to create an account with them, then search for Helengpt (no spaces). Classes and packages are easily booked within 3 clicks. I recommend downloading the Gymcatch app for ease on the go.
We will leave our bags just near where we meet. We are always near, and I always keep my eyes on the things. In 4 years I've never known anything to get taken but it is left at your own risk.
What should I bring to classes?
Bring water!
You may want to bring a mat or towel for any floor work
Some people like to box with wraps or bring their own boxing gloves if they have them.
I recommend trail shoes (with grip) for wet weather.
In winter, wear lots of layers.
Can I train if I am pregnant?
Assuming you were exercising before you were pregnant, and your GP has said it's OK to do so then yes. I am pre and post natal qualified so can give you alternative exercises.
Are there classes at the weekend?
I aim to do one weekend class a month, and I donate 50% of money received to charity. Otherwise, I have my FIT Plans or do an online video at home. Tooting Bec also has a free Park Run every Saturday at 9am. And of course, there are lots of other fitness providers near by.
Can I turn up to a class on the day?
No, classes must be booked in advance please.
