I get asked all the time: How am I meant to stay motivated?
Don't get into the trap of only exercising when you're motivated; motivation will leave you almost as quickly as it came to you. Motivation is the thing that got you started in the first place and it's the thing that you need to remember as a reason to keep going when you want to stop.The chances are you will not feel motivated to exercise every day.
The solution: Do it anyway
Do you feel motivated to go to work every day? Or do house chores or life admin? Probably not, but you do it anyway because you know it has to be done. If you have the same mindset for exercise you'll be find it so much easier.
Obviously sometimes life will get in the way and I'm not saying to exercise if you're injured or ill. The sofa will be much less appealing when you know that there's something you need to do first.
How to stay motivated:
1. Pick times that suit your schedule
2. Do something you enjoy doing
3. Put it in your diary and commit to it
4. Don't overthink. Just do it
